Corporate Social Responsibility
Mentech’s corporate strategy is based on extending the lifespan of electronic products as much as possible. Our assumption is that our electronics are given a new life instead of ending up in the trash can. If the defective electronics cannot be saved, we ensure that it is scrapped properly and under environmentally friendly conditions.
By repairing and recycling electronics, we avoid producing new items. This means that we reduce the CO2 emissions and the depletion of the earth’s resources. We ensure to create a circular economy where resources that would otherwise have ended up in the trash can become part of the value chain and are reintroduced into production.
Mentech ECO Solutions
Mentech ECO Solutions is our solution for handling electronics. Many companies have a large consumption of electronics and often replace them. It can be a time-consuming and resource-heavy task to figure out how to minimize the extent and total carbon footprint of electronic waste.
Mentech specializes in collection, recycling, and responsible disposal of electronics. With our different solutions, we ensure the maximum possible reuse of IT parts. This means that we reuse parts to repair other electronic devices, authorized and within the same brand. This is what we call “green electronics.”
Mentech ECO Solutions is a digital total solution gathered on one platform, where customers can follow the entire process – from ordering pickup to approving offers, budgeting, follow-up, and much more.
Pickup:
Our Mentech drivers exclusively use our own secured and tracked cars for transportation.
Mentech ECO 1: 4 DKK per kilo
Mentech’s first ECO Solution is a simple pickup. With this solution, you pay a fixed price per kilo for the collection and responsible disposal of electronic waste.
Mentech ECO 2: 8 DKK per kilo
Mentech’s second ECO Solution is for companies with preferences for data processing. We work in accordance with GDPR legislation. With this solution, we check all devices in connection with data deletion before starting treatment.
After we have picked up your electronics, you can currently take advantage of these two options: Mentech ECO Recycle and Mentech ECO Wipe.
With Mentech ECO Recycle solution, we take all devices with value, delete data, remove any logos, and resell them to new end-users.
For devices and materials that cannot be reused or recycled due to current technology and investments, we use them in Mentech ECO Wipe solution. Price for larger device: 65,- per unit (e.g. computer, etc.)
Price for smaller device: 35,- per unit (e.g. phones, etc.)
All data is deleted from the devices, after which we destroy them with the utmost consideration for the environment.

Sustainable development
Goal 7: Sustainable Energy.
The future – solely renewable energy sources? Mentech and Mentech ECO have 100% green energy at all service locations.
We want to take responsibility for creating a world that only runs on green energy without exception. Especially since 80% of the world’s energy consumption still comes from fossil fuels. Therefore, all of our departments in Denmark, Norway, and Sweden now exclusively use electricity from renewable energy sources.
To make this possible, we spent a lot of time in 2020 and 2021 negotiating new, green electricity contracts.
The contracts were entered into with the energy market on a Nordic level in close collaboration with energy companies Ørsted, NORLYS, Fjorkraft in Norway, and E-ON in Sweden.
Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production.
Can we reduce our climate footprint through more responsible consumption?
The core of Sustainable Development Goal 12 is our consumption patterns, behavior, and the way we use our resources. This applies to both social, commercial, and societal contexts.
In particular, our contribution to Target 12.5, where waste generation should be reduced through prevention, recycling, and reuse in a global context.
In addition to repairing and selling green electronics, Mentech hopes that our customers and partners will build knowledge and capacity to address climate change.

CO2-neutral websites, green shipping, and environmentally friendly packaging – the new standard?
In addition to repairing and selling green electronics, Mentech hopes to build knowledge and capacity to address climate change. Our current efforts within this goal include climate partnerships, CO2-neutral websites, green shipping, and environmentally friendly packaging.
CO2-neutral shipping and packaging
Mentech’s products are packed safely in environmentally friendly packaging. When a package needs to be transported from one place to another, some form of CO2 emissions cannot be avoided. Therefore, we have entered into an agreement with Post Nord, where we reduce CO2 emissions from transport through additional payment for shipping.
CO2 neutral website & Growing Trees Network Foundation. Both Mentech and Mentech ECO now have CO2-neutralized websites. We participate in a Danish climate initiative, which aims for companies, regardless of size and industry, to come together to neutralize the CO2 emitted from their websites.
The background for the “CO2-neutral website” initiative is that internet and computer use today cause more CO2 emissions than, for example, aviation. Additionally, 15% of the profits from Mentech ECO go towards planting trees. In the last 2 years, Mentech, in collaboration with the Growing Trees Network Foundation, has ensured that almost 500 trees have been planted in Denmark.

which recently launched the world’s largest Corporate
Sustainability initiative and the largest Danish network for
green businesses.

Compact, we commit to adhering to the Global Compact’s 10 principles in the areas of human rights, labor rights,
environment, and anti-corruption, as well as to align with
the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.
